Big Creek Lake stretches across 3,600 acres on the outskirts of west Mobile, placing it 8 minutes away from the border of Mississippi on its Western coast. Covering a large surface area, this reservoir provides ample fishing and scenery for all who visit!

Life on the Water

There is one public boat landing on the Eastern side of this expansive lake. Fox Landing requires a launching fee but gives new and seasoned anglers alike copious amounts of space to fine-tune their fishing skills. Big Creek Lake has become popular in recent years for bass tournaments, but there are plenty of other species swimming beneath the surface as well! Most commonly, you will catch largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, red-ear sunfish, and channel catfish. Although there is limited boat access to these waters, anglers can still fish from the shorelines in designated areas. Bank fishing is allowed at Fox Landing and the US Hwy 98 Bridge! Just 8 minutes East of Fox Landing is Botters Bait Farm, where anglers can purchase live bait and other fishing accessories as needed!
